KYIV, May 8 – Banking institutions are ready to finance projects for the construction of new energy facilities and have a sufficient level of liquidity to do this, but some of them note low demand for loans in this area.
This was discussed during an online Energy Club discussion on Tuesday.
"Oschadbank, which has financed over 850 MW of generating capacity for more than EUR 900 million, is now also interested in the development of all generation segments. These are wind farms, solar power plants, as well as gas generation modules. In addition, we are also interested in energy storage systems (ESS). We are also looking for opportunities in the municipal generation segment, which would allow scaling up projects and thus moving to a slightly lower power segment, but developing a standard for municipalities," Maksym Stakhursky, Deputy Director of the Corporate Business Department at Oschadbank, said.
