KYIV, Jan 11 - Two large ships, both loaded with U.S. coal, have arrived in Ukraine on Tuesday and Sunday, helping the country alleviate major coal shortages during the high-demand season, DTEK Energo, a power and mining group, reported.
A Panamax-class vessel delivered 82,500mt of coal to the Black Sea port of Pivdenniy near Odesa on Tuesday, DTEK said. Another similar-sized ship delivered 75,500mt of coal to Transinvestservice, or TIS, a privately owned and operated terminal in the Pivdenniy port, the company said.
