KYIV, Dec 2 – Ukrainian agricultural exporters and furniture industry companies are showing great interest in strengthening trade between Ukraine and the UK, and internal manufacturers of Christmas tree decorations are interested in this market as well, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.
"We are seeing great interest, primarily from exporters of agricultural and food products. We are talking about the export of poultry meat (turkey), vegetables and fruits, tomato paste, juices, corn, vegetable oil, etc. Due to the increase in the volume of tariff-free quotas, as early as next year we expect a significant increase in supplies to the UK in these areas," Kuleba told Interfax-Ukraine, following an online briefing for Ukrainian exporters "Bilateral Trade Between Ukraine and the UK after Brexit." The briefing was organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Council of Exporters and Investors within the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine. The minister said that the UK imports more than half of all products, so its market is promising for Ukraine.
