Ukraine reduces 25.2% ferroalloy output in Jan-Oct as demand drops

KYIV, Nov 30 - Ukrainian enterprises reduced production of ferroalloy by 25.2%, to 644,540 tons in January-October this year compared to the same period last year.

As the Ukrainian Association of Producers of Ferroalloys and Other Electrometallurgy told Interfax-Ukraine, in the ten months the production of silicon manganese at Zaporizhia and Nikopol Ferroalloy Plants decreased by 31.4%, to 485,770 tons. At the same time, the total output of ferromanganese and other ferroalloys increased by 22.1%, to 106,080 tons at the three plants: Zaporizhia, Nikopol and Kramatorsk Ferroalloy Plants (Kramatorsk plant in January-October 2020 produced 34,090 tons, was idle in July-October due to stopping of the furnace, data for 2019 are not available).
