KYIV, Oct 9 – President Volodymyr Zelenskiy praised as “strategic” Ukraine’s relations with the UK following London’s willingness to provide a large lethal weapons contract and a £1 billion loan to help Ukraine’s navy build new ships capable of use in the Black Sea.

"Our relations with the UK are strategic, the dialogue is absolutely sincere, and the agreements reached reflect a truly close friendship. Since our values are practically the same, the values that are the basis of the inner world of the nation: freedom, competition, dedication," Zelenskiy wrote in his Telegram channel.
