KYIV, Sept 15 – The Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline poses a risk to Europe's energy security, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
Vienna and Kyiv have different views on the situation around the construction of the pipeline, he said at a joint briefing with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz in Vienna on Tuesday.
"I understand all the difficulties, all investments, I spoke candidly about it. As Sebastian has now said, I understand that there are both companies and taxes there. But I also understand how serious a challenge the Nord Stream 2 is. And it is not just Ukraine's energy security. I shared this in detail with Sebastian, it will be a question of energy security for the whole of Europe," Zelensky said.
