KYIV, Sept 14 – President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed law No. 825-IX on the ratification of a memorandum and a loan agreement between Ukraine and the European Union on receiving macrofinancial assistance from the European Union in the amount of up to EUR 1.2 billion, which the Verkhovna Rada adopted on August 25.
"The implementation of the provisions of the memorandum and the relevant agreement will allow involving additional credit resources of the European Union, which will be aimed at supporting macroeconomic stability, balance of payments and the implementation of reforms in our country. The payment of funds will be carried out in two tranches of EUR 600 million each," according to the presidential website.
