KYIV, July 30 – Ukrenergo expects to complete the certification of the company this year, which will make it possible to connect the power system of Ukraine to the European one, acting Board Chairman Volodymyr Kudrytsky said.

"We plan that this year Ukrenergo will be certified according to the ISO model, which does not provide for the transfer of backbone networks to the ownership of Ukrenergo. This process must be completed, and after that we will become a full-fledged system operator, like in other European countries," he said during the Ukrainian Online Corporate Governance Forum organized by the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) on Wednesday.
