Solar power plant owners ask Zelenskiy to postpone new tariff bill
Journal Staff Report

KYIV, June 30 – A group of foreign and domestic owners of solar power plants have asked President Volodymyr Zelensky to support their proposal to extend the feed-in tariffs for solar power plants by two years when considering bill No. 3658 on the conditions for the development of renewable generation, providing for their reduction by 15%.

"One of the main requests of the solar industry – extending the validity of contracts for the purchase of electricity by two years in exchange for a 15% reduction in the feed-in tariff, which was not included in the memorandum and the bill. This request is critical for solar power plants, as well as international financial institutions that have provided funding for the relevant projects," the industry representatives said in a letter seen by Interfax-Ukraine.
