KYIV, Aug 13 – Russia's Gazprom will be forced to sign an agreement with Naftogaz Ukrayiny after December 31, 2019, since it will have to pump 50-65 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas through the Ukrainian gas transportation system (GTS) per year in the next 1.5-2 years, Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Council Bohdan Danylyshyn has said.
"Therefore, Russia will put pressure on Ukraine to force the signing of a short-term transit agreement. Due to this is the issue of passports to the residents of Donbas and restrictions on the supply of various types of fuel. Military aggravation is also possible in Donbas," Danylyshyn said on Facebook.
