KYIV, Aug 2 – Zaporizhstal, one of the largest steel makers and taxpayers in Ukraine, reduced rolled steel production by 2.2% in January-July 2019 year-over-year, to 2.34 million tons.

Steel production in the seven months decreased by 6.4%, to 1.976 million tons, that of pig iron by 3.4%, to 2.451 million tons, the enterprise said in a press release on Thursday.

In July 2019, it produced 331,900 tons of pig iron, 322,300 tons of steel, 263,400 tons of rolled products.
