KYIV, July 11 – Lowering the limit for the cost of duty free parcels from abroad from EUR 150 to EUR 100, which took effect on July 1 would worsen the conditions for purchase of goods by Ukrainians abroad, President of Meest Group, the mail and delivery group, Rostyslav Kysyl has said.
"Conditions for customers who want to buy something abroad are worsening in Ukraine. At first it was $1,000, then it was reduced to EUR 500, then EUR 300, and EUR 150. And now from July 1, it is EUR 100. I do not know why our officials are doing this, explaining this by the fact that budget revenues will increase. I will not talk about smuggling that goes across the border, because if we stop this smuggling, it will be a thousand times more budget revenues..," he said in an interview with the 24 TV Channel on Tuesday.
