Journal Staff Report

MOSCOW, Jan. 31 - Russian State Nuclear Energy Company Rosatom expects to start building two power units at Ukraine's Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant in 2014.

According to the latest version of the construction roadmap for OJSC NIAEP (managing company of Atomstroyexport, the general contractor for nuclear power construction abroad), which cites the protocol of a Rosatom budget committee meeting from September 24 and has been made available to Interfax, it will take 10 years to build the third and fourth power units at Khmelnytsky - from 2014 to 2023.

Meanwhile, Ukraine and Russia have not yet reached common ground regarding the terms of a loan for the construction, particularly regarding the interest rate.
