KIEV, Jan. 12 - Ukraine will continue to use a small amount of Russian natural gas to ensure the safe transit of gas to the European Union, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said Monday.

Russia, which has accused Ukraine of “stealing” its gas during the transit to the EU, had earlier rejected the idea, insisting that Ukraine should use its own gas to ensure the safe transit.
