KIEV, May 14 - President Viktor Yushchenko on Wednesday called on the government to suspend its controversial decision canceling an offshore oil exploration and production license for U.S. oil company Vanco Energy.

Top officials at the Yushchenko office met G8 and European Union diplomats earlier Wednesday amid growing concerns over Ukraine’s investment climate following the decision to cancel the license.
