KIEV, Dec. 6 - A tender to issue 3G (UMTS) licenses is to be held in September 2008, the head of the National Communications Regulatory Commission (NCRC), Volodymyr Zverev, told Interfax-Ukraine.

He said that these terms were set according to a plan of urgent measures in the light of conversion of radio frequency bands of Ukraine by 2008, which was approved at a cabinet meeting on Dec. 5.
