KIEV, Nov. 23 - Ukrainian tax bodies deny reports about attempts to seize Naftogaz Ukrayiny property or accounts.

Such a decision can only be made by the court, Viktor Kasapchuk, a department chief at the State Tax Administration, told Interfax-Ukraine.

The STA considers Naftogaz Ukrayiny claims of an extreme tax burden to be "disinformation," he said. Naftogaz Ukrainy has tax concessions and preferences that metallurgical, chemical and coal companies do not have, he added.
