KIEV, Oct. 10 - President Viktor Yushchenko’s office plans to scrutinize an agreement signed in Moscow Tuesday to settle the country’s gas debts before Russian gas giant Gazprom, a top official said Wednesday.

The office is apparently concerned that Ukraine might not have enough natural gas to meet demand in the winter as the agreement calls for transferring $1.2 billion worth of gas to Gazprom.
