KIEV, Oct. 9 - Ukraine’s top security body must hold a special meeting to investigate reports of apparently mounting debts for Russian natural gas supplies, a security official said Tuesday.

Oleksandr Turchynov, the deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, reacted to reports from Moscow that Ukraine owed more than $2 billion for gas supplies, not $1.3 billion as had been earlier reported.
