DTEK companies increase coal extraction by 1.1% in first half
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Aug. 23 – Companies of Donetsk-based Donbas Fuel-Energy Company (DTEK) report they increased coal extraction by 1.1% in H1 or by 79,600 tons year-on-year, to 7.59 million tons.

The company said that due to the growth in demand for power-generating coal, the volumes of its extraction over the six months grew by 5.8% or by 351,000 tons, to 6.424 million tons, while coking coal extraction fell by 18.9% or by 271,400 tons, to 1.166 million tons.
