The cold snap in Ukraine has led to an historic amount of electricity consumption in the country, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Boiko said in an interview for the program Energonadzor on Ukrainian television's Fifth Channel. "Our really abnormally cold weather has led to an historic maximum in electric energy consumption in the country. The day before yesterday, we consumed 32,000 megawatts," he said.
