KIEV, May 3 ??“ Ukraine's Antimonopoly Committee has permitted TuranAlem Bank of Kazakhstan to purchase more than 50% stake in BTA Bank, a small Ukrainian bank, the AMC reported Thursday.

In August 2006, a subsidiary of TuranAlem Bank, TuranAlem Securities, purchased a 9.95% stake in BTA Bank.

According to the bank, as of April 1, 2007, its major stockholder was CPG Assets management Ltd. (18.9%).
