KYIV, June 11 – Gemini, a Ukrainian supplier of coffee and tea, reported the total destruction of its main warehouse and service center during a large-scale Russian air attack on the night of June 9–10.
"Unfortunately, our company did not escape the consequences of the latest attack. During the enemy strike, Gemini's main warehouse and service center were completely destroyed. Thankfully, there were no casualties, but there may be temporary delays in product shipments and servicing," the company announced via Facebook on Tuesday.
Gemini emphasized that it is doing everything possible to resume stable operations as soon as possible.
The company also reported that the first batch of its "Taktykava" coffee cups was destroyed in the resulting fire. These cups were intended for a fundraising campaign with the "Come Back Alive" Foundation to support its "Captain Training" program, which uses the cups as a donation tool.
"While we await the next batch, we're calling on Ukraine's HoReCa sector to join this partnership – because if not now, then when? Reach out via our website, social media, or contact numbers," the company urged.
According to its website, Gemini has operated since 1996. Over the years, it has built its own production facilities to control the full supply chain from plantation to coffee cup, and has established supplier relationships in more than 70 countries. Gemini offers a wide range of coffee in various formats and roasts, along with loose-leaf and bagged teas, and matcha. The company is also the official distributor of global coffee equipment brands.
