KYIV, March 11 – Some of Ukraine's gas production facilities damaged by Russian attacks could be restored no sooner than September-November, even under optimistic forecasts. These facilities account for approximately 25% of the country's pre-attack gas output, according to Oleksandr Kharchenko, Director of the Energy Research Center (ERC).
"There are damages that can be mitigated within a month or a month and a half. However, some are severe enough that recovery may take until at least September, October, or November, even in the absence of further attacks. This category represents a quarter of our gas production as it stood three months ago," Kharchenko stated during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center in Kyiv on Tuesday.
