KYIV, Dec 24 – Experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have assessed the damage inflicted on substations critical for delivering power from nuclear power plants to consumers and ensuring the operational power supply of nuclear power units. These damages occurred during the enemy attacks in November and December 2024.
"It is crucial to involve international experts in documenting the consequences of damage to energy infrastructure deemed essential for the safe operation of nuclear power plants. The coordination between the Ukrainian side and international partners aims to mitigate the risks of nuclear incidents amid Russia's military aggression against Ukraine," said Ukraine's Minister of Energy, Herman Haluschenko, as quoted by the ministry on Tuesday.
