KYIV, Dec 25 - ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region) is currently operating at 30% of its metallurgical capacity and at 70-75% of its mining capacity, the company's CEO Mauro Longobardo said in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
"We have approximately 30% of our capacity in terms of cast iron, steel and finished products. However, at some points this was not the case: from April to August we worked with two furnaces because the economic situation was more favorable. But in winter the situation is quite difficult, mainly due to electricity," said the head of the enterprise.
