KYIV, May 23 – The European Commission announced on Tuesday the fourth payment of EUR 1.5 billion to Ukraine as part of a macro-financial assistance (MFA)+ package for 2023 in the amount of up to EUR 18 billion.

"With this instrument, the EU seeks to help Ukraine cover its immediate funding needs, with stable, predictable and sizeable financial support in 2023," the European Commission said in the communiqué published in Brussels.
