KYIV, March 21 – President of Energoatom Petro Kotin and Head of Customer Engagement of British-based Rolls-Royce SMR Sophie Mcfarlane-Smith on March 20 signed a memorandum of understanding, which provides for the construction of a power plant with a small modular reactor (SMR) in Ukraine.

"Under the memorandum, Rolls-Royce SMR is committed to supporting Ukraine's recovery by deploying a factory-built small modular reactor (SMR) power plant capable of generating enough carbon-free electricity to power one million homes for over 60 years," Energoatom reported on Telegram.
