Ukraine’s first quarter inflation reported to be highest in CIS Journal Staff Report
Ukraine posted the highest level of inflation among CIS countries in Q1 with a 9.7% increase in consumer prices, the CIS Intergovernmental Statistics Committee said. High levels of inflation were also seen in Azerbaijan at 8% and Kyrgyzstan at 6.1%. Russia posted inflation of 4.8% in the first three months of the year, Armenia - 4.8%, Moldova - 4.1%, Belarus - 4.1%, Georgia - 3.4%, Tajikistan - 2.6% and Kazakhstan - 2.5%.
