KYIV, Feb 25 – Because of the drop in gas prices, its consumption is more viable than coal production, Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine Oleksiy Orzhel has said.

"We need to be as frank as possible with people working as a miner, whose labor is hard, that their production is unprofitable. With the price of gas in the summer, it is easier to burn gas than to mine coal," he said at the Ukrainian Energy Forum 2020 on Tuesday.
