KIEV, July 21 ??“ Norwegian telecoms giant Telenor ASA believes that Kyivstar, a Ukrainian cell phone operator in which it owns majority stake, is worth $8 billion, Telenor Executive Vice-President Thor Halvorsen said Friday.

The estimated value of the company is apparently 60% greater than has been earlier estimated by Altimo, a telecommunications arm of Russia??™s Alfa Group, which owns minority stake in Kyivstar.
