KIEV, July 20 - Eurobank Ergasias S.A., Greece's second largest bank, paid almost $50 million for a 99.34% stake in Universal Bank, Universal Investment Group, a major shareholder in the Ukrainian bank, reported Thursday.

The deal is to be completed in the fourth quarter, Interfax reported citing the group. The regulatory agencies of Ukraine, Greece and Switzerland still have to approve the deal.
