KIEV, June 19 ??“ Russia and Turkmenistan on Monday apparently failed to agree on imports of Central Asian natural gas in the second half of 2006, Reuters reported citing a source familiar with the talks.

The deal has been watched in Ukraine that seeks to resume direct imports of gas from Turkmenistan starting July 1, but that would be impossible if Russia and Turkmenistan reach the agreement.
