KIEV, Sept. 22 – The proper legislative provision and financing are the main elements of the successful work of Ukrainian policemen, Ukrainian National Police Chief Khatia Dekanoidze said.

"It is important when the Verkhovna Rada supports the National Police… We do not have money and budget to provide the policemen with clothes and shoes," she said on Wednesday, speaking at a meeting of the parliamentary committee for legal provision of law enforcement.

She said that the figures for crime growth have never been hidden.
