WASHINGTON, March 6 ??“ The U.S. and Ukraine signed an agreement on Monday in what is the crucial step for the former Soviet republic toward joining the World Trade Organization later this year.

US Trade Representative Rob Portman and Ukraine's Economy Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk signed the agreement in Washington allowing both countries to access to each others markets and ending years of difficult talks.
