KIEV, Feb. 23 ??“ Ukrgaz-Energo, a joint venture that has been recently created to distribute gas to industrial consumers in Ukraine, has so far failed to provide the government with a $300 mln guarantee on gas supplies.

The guarantee covering one month of gas supplies is the main remaining condition for the joint venture before obtaining a license to operate in Ukraine, Prime Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov said Thursday.
