KIEV, Feb. 15 ??“ President Viktor Yushchenko met Ukraine??™s top space scientists Wednesday to pledge state support for various civilian and defense projects, including plans to develop high precision weapons, a newspaper reported.

The meeting was held behind closed doors in Dnipropetrovsk, home to the country??™s space complex, and was attended by Defense Minister Anatoliy Hrytsenko and by the president??™s defense policy advisor Volodymyr Horbulin.
