Yanukovych gains lead in opinion polls
 KIEV, Sept. 28 - Former Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych gained leadership in opinion polls and may win the next general election as a result of a split within Ukraine's ruling coalition, recent poll data suggested. The data are the first measured reaction to the dismissal of Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko earlier this month and her subsequent split and a clash with President Viktor Yushchenko. |
Peace talks with Russia won’t benefit Ukraine, Europe: Podoliak
KYIV, Aug 25 – The negotiation process with Russia to end the war won’t benefit both Ukraine and Europe, since any temporary truce will mean continued aggression by the Russian Federation in the future, said Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine in an interview with the German publication Bild.

Russia blocks key nuclear treaty document
KYIV, Aug 26 - Russia late Friday blocked agreement on the final document of a four-week review of the U.N. treaty considered the cornerstone of nuclear disarmament which criticized its military takeover of Europe’s largest nuclear plant soon after Russian troops invaded Ukraine, an act that has raised fears of a nuclear disaster.

Zelenskiy assures World Bank president Ukraine to speed up reforms
