KIEV, Jan. 27 - The total sum of wage arrears in Ukraine rose 3% in December and more than tripled in 2014, the State Statistics Service reported.

According to the State Statistics Service, wage arrears on January 1, 2015 amounted to UAH 2.437 billion, or 7% of the monthly wage fund for December.

As the report reads, in December 2014 wage arrears in Donetsk region grew by 11.5%, to UAH 1.179 billion, Luhansk region grew by 4.9%, to UAH 347.561 million. The growth of wage arrears was observed in Zhytomyr region (19.6%), Odessa region (6.2%), Lviv region (5.9%) and Dnipropetrovsk region (2.6%).
