KIEV, Dec. 17 - Ukraine may appeal to world's nuclear powers, such as the U.S., Britain, France and China, if Russia goes ahead to unilaterally scrap natural gas agreement that may undermine the Ukrainian economy.

The powers agreed in 1994 to provide Ukraine with ultimate security protection guarantees in exchange for the country's decision to get rid of nuclear weapons inherited after the breakup of the USSR.
