MOSCOW, Nov. 30 -- An official with natural gas monopoly Gazprom warned Wednesday that Ukraine could face higher prices for Russian gas if it didn't accept a "compromise" price of $160 (?136) per thousand cubic meters.
"If the current price is not accepted by Ukraine, Gazprom will make other proposals and the price will be higher," Gazprom Deputy Chairman Alexander Medvedev said in televised remarks, The Associated Press Reported. "The price of $160 is already a compromise."
