KIEV, Nov. 11 ??“ Ukrtelecom, Ukraine's national telephone operator, may receive a license for providing mobile communication services under the UMTS standard within one-and-a-half to two months.

"I believe within one-and-a-half to two months Ukrtelecom will be able to get all the licenses [to operate in the UMTS standard]," Transport and Communications Minister Viktor Bondar told journalists on Thursday, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
