KIEV, Aug. 22 – The expenses on the start of mass production of the Ukrainian Oplot main battle tank at the Kharkiv-based Malyshev Plant are estimated at $30 million, which is about one-fourth the expenses on the start of mass production of similar modern tanks in other countries, Malyshev Plant Director General Vadym Fedosov said.

Fedosov said that the Oplot main battle tank has one of the highest coefficients of technological sophistication among new armor vehicles in the world – 80%.
