KIEV, Nov. 8 ??“ President Viktor Yushchenko, in a first major regional reshuffling, fired governors of Zaporizhia and Luhansk regions on Tuesday, nine months after their appointments, citing the need to boost regional economies.

Yuriy Artemenko, the governor of Zaporizhia region, and Oleksiy Danylov, the governor of the Luhansk region, have been offered unspecified jobs at the government, Yushchenko??™s spokeswoman said.
