KIEV, Oct. 25 ??“ President Viktor Yushchenko said Tuesday he will not accept resignation by Valentyna Semeniuk, the head of the State Property Fund, despite mounting pressure from her Socialist Party allies to quit.

Semeniuk was reported to submit the resignation on Friday, but then had withdrawn it hours later, according to people familiar with the situation. She again submitted the resignation Monday morning, an hour before the Kryvorizhstal sell-off, due to a mounting pressure from her Socialist Party allies who had opposed the sell-off.
