KIEV, Oct. 13 ??“ Ukraine??™s economic growth accelerated in September after a disappointing contraction in August, apparently boosted by recovering steel prices on world markets, the State Statistics Committee said Thursday.

The economy expanded 3% on the year in September, following a 1.6% on year contraction in August, the committee said. The growth was at 2.8% on year in January-September, the committee said.
