KIEV, March 23 - Parliament is planning to introduce a special taxation regime for software companies.

A total of 336 out of 41 lawmakers registered in the session hall on Thursday supported at first reading the law on amendments to the Tax Code regarding a taxation regime for software industry companies.

The law proposes to establish that residents who are in line with criteria mentioned in the said law can select a special taxation regime.

Under the special taxation regime, the tax on profit depending on types of operations stipulated in the law is accrued by software industry companies at a rate of 16% of profit of the software companies that chose the special taxation regime.
