KIEV, Aug. 8 ??“ Ukraine will be taking drastic steps to improve aviation safety, including the possible revocation of licenses for air carriers that have failed to comply with regulations, Transportation Minister Yevhen Chervonenko said Monday.

Chervonenko specifically singled out Aerosvit, Ukraine??™s flagship airline, for its allegedly poor safety record, and called for the company to replace its senior management.
