LVIV, Oct. 25 - About 2,000 businessmen rallied near Taras Shevchenko's statue in central Lviv on Monday to protest against the proposed new tax code and pension reforms.

The action was organized by the Assembly of Small and Medium-Scale Business Associations of Ukraine.

The protesters held numerous posters as they chanted slogans like "no to tax terror" and "disgrace."
