Business confidence among Ukrainian construction firms up 3.2% in Q1
KYIV, May 5 - The business confidence indicator in the Ukrainian construction market in the second quarter of 2025 increased by 3.2 percentage points (p.p.) compared to the first quarter - to "minus" 35.4%, the State Statistics Service reported.
According to the data of a survey of construction companies conducted by the agency, the assessment of the lack of current order volume improved by 1.5 p.p. - to "minus" 50.6%. Thus, 52% of the surveyed companies assessed their current order volume as insufficient, 46% - as normal for the season.
Some 55% of respondents expect an increase in prices for their services in the second quarter of this year. Only 3% of respondents predict a decrease in the cost of construction work, and 43% do not expect any changes in pricing policy.
According to the State Statistics Service, the companies participating in the survey are provided with orders for an average of six months, which corresponds to the pre-war indicator at the beginning of 2022. (om/ez)
